My 3 month old nephew had Neuroblastoma (a malignant cancer) removed in August 2009, bringing the reality of serious childhood illness into the life of my family. Previously I had worked at the Institute of Child Health (ICH) housed at the Great Ormond Street Hospital and witnessed the daily heartbreak of long term illness
Inspired by my brave nephew, his mum and dad, other suffering families and tireless hospital staff, my business partner Joanna Eaton and I came up with this idea for raising money for The Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
